Earlier this year, SXSW conference attendees got the opportunity to fly the world’s first operational eVTOL aircraft, HEXA, along the shores of Ladybird Lake in beautiful downtown Austin. Thousands of people witnessed the future of personal aviation firsthand.
Austin proved to be the perfect launching ground for this next chapter in LIFT's story. The city's innovative spirit and the overwhelming enthusiasm we witnessed at SXSW confirmed that people are ready to embrace the future of urban mobility.
We're thrilled to announce that LIFT will be headed back to The Long Center - this time to stay - and will be fully open to the public. This is a historic moment for our company and for the future of personal flight.
For the first time in an urban setting, members of the public can step into the pilot's seat of HEXA and experience the thrill of personal, vertical flight - no pilot’s license required.
About the Experience
The 2-hour experience includes:
Classroom training covering flight fundamentals and safety.
Virtual reality flight simulator training to prepare you for actual flight.
A 3-5 minute introductory flight experience with you in the pilot’s seat!
With over twenty thousand people on waitlists to fly in cities around the world, we expect demand to be significant, and the Experience Center is just the beginning. We're committed to expanding access to personal aviation and transforming how people move around congested urban areas.
Plans are underway to open LIFT locations in other major cities around the world later this year.
