  2. 02

    Orientation

Check in, sign the waiver and watch the orientation video: what HEXA is, the rules of the air and what to expect today.

  3. 03

    Ground instruction

Your instructor walks you through the aircraft, the joystick and the flight display, with a propeller in your hands.

  4. 04

    VR flight simulator

Practice the exact flight in our virtual-reality simulator. Your instructor signs you off when you’re ready.

  5. 05

Press start, take off and fly. Your instructor talks you through every maneuver on the radio, and flight controllers watch every second of your flight.

Safety

Built so your first flight is a safe one

Inside the aircraft
01

Assisted flight

HEXA holds its position against the wind and only moves when you ask. Beginner mode limits speed and maneuvers.

02

Invisible boundaries

Geofences keep you inside the flight area and at a safe height, slowing you smoothly as you near the edge.

03

Automatic when it matters

Takeoff, landing and return to home each happen at the press of a button.

04

Redundant by design

18 motors (HEXA flies with six out), four flight computers and a whole-aircraft parachute.

Before you book

Do I need a pilot’s license?

No. HEXA flies under the FAA’s Part 103 powered ultralight rules, so no pilot’s license or flying experience is needed. We train you on the day.

How long does it take?

Training takes about an hour, from orientation and ground instruction to the VR simulator. Allow two to three hours on site in all, though your visit may end sooner.

Who can fly?

Anyone 18 or older who weighs 235 lb or less. No pilot’s license or experience needed.

What about the weather?

Flights are in daylight and good weather. If wind or rain cancels your session, you get a full refund or priority rebooking.

Is it safe?

HEXA keeps flying with up to six of its 18 motors out, runs on four flight computers and carries a whole-aircraft parachute. You fly inside a geofenced area, in Beginner mode, with an instructor on the radio and flight controllers watching every flight.

Can I fly with friends?

Yes. Several pilots can book the same session, and we host private groups and events.

Can I get a video of my flight?

Yes. Add the Video Package ($99) and we’ll film your flight from several angles and edit it into an HD video.
